Position OverviewThe Hubbard School of Journalism and Mass
Communication in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of
Minnesota, Twin Cities invites nominations and applications for a
part-time Curricular Fellow to assist current instructors in their
strategic communications or journalism courses to support
curriculum alignment with the professions. Specific
responsibilities for the position will be negotiated with the
director. ResponsibilitiesThe role of the fellow is to assist
professional strategic communication and journalism course
instructors on a specific assignment as appropriate to the
candidate's background and curricular needs. Additional

About the Department
About the DepartmentThe Hubbard School of Journalism and Mass
Communication (HSJMC) at the University of Minnesota is part of the
College of Liberal Arts and is accredited by the Accrediting
Council for Journalism and Mass Communication. The HSJMC offers
majors in Strategic Communication, Professional Journalism, and
Mass Communication; and minors in Mass Communication and Digital
Media Studies. The HSJMC offers an academic M.A. and Ph.D., a
Professional M.A. in Strategic Communication, and a 5-year
B.A./M.A. in Health Communication. Housed in Murphy Hall, a
state-of-the-art facility for teaching and research of journalism,
mass communication, and new media studies, the HSJMC is home to the
Silha Center for the Study of Media Ethics and Law, the Minnesota
Journalism Center, the Digital Media Studios, and the Digital
Information Research Center/Sevareid Library. HSJMC facilities also
include the Murphy Hall conference center, multimedia classrooms,
and the communication Research Lab/Focus Group Room, which is used
to support graduate-level experimental research. For further
