Job Description:
The Production Supervisor oversees all aspects of the
manufacturing of products in the Food Solutions Division. The
Supervisor is responsible for organizing and monitoring workflow on
the second shift of production, developing cost effective processes
and reducing waste while also increasing productivity and employee
satisfaction. Troubleshoot processes, provide on-going training to
all production personnel, and ensure the safety of workers in the
organization by following safety policy compliance for the
departments.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible position - Monday-Friday
1:00pm - 9:30pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Supervisor is responsible for production scheduling and clearly
communicating this schedule to all shifts. This includes setting
work schedules and hiring employees to meet production goals. The
supervisor develops training schedules for new employees and
evaluates the performance of the workers. Work scheduling also
includes placing employees in appropriate positions to increase
productivity. Supervisors also maintain records for employees such
as attendance and performance evaluations. The supervisor
implements continuous improvement activity to reduce scrap and
increase productivity. This individual will lead the team in
applying Good Manufacturing Practices for safe food and feed. They
will set the example by following processes and abiding by all
safety policies. They are expected to ask questions when the
process is unclear or results are in question.

Physical Demands:
Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, twist/turn trunk,
flex/extend/rotate neck and wrists, horizontally reach, climb, lift
and carry up to 50 lbs. and occasionally sit, squat/kneel,
bend/stoop, push/pull, reach above shoulder.
Employee must repetitively grasp objects simply and firmly and use
fine manipulation dexterity. Must use hands frequently from floor
to chest level, and simultaneously to carry/lift and operate
equipment. Must use both feet together, separately and repetitively
to operate equipment. Specific vision abilities include close
vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
Must be able to hear and follow instruction.
Work Hazards: Stand and walk on dusty or wet floors. Operate
forklift. Handle chemicals and materials with hazards associated
with each of them. Use/operate tools and equipment to perform
various production tasks. Work around moving machinery. Lift more
than 50 lbs.
Work Environment: Exposure to noise, heat, excessive changes in
temperature and humidity, and airborne dust particles.
Safety Equipment: Bump caps, hearing protection, hair net, beard
net (if applicable), uniforms, safety glasses, gloves and safety
boots.Compensation details: 75000-85000 Yearly
