In this role, you'll be essential in providing expert, whole-person care by performing venipunctures and skin punctures to collect blood samples for laboratory testing. This position demands a meticulous attention to detail, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a steadfast commitment to patient care and comfort. Perform blood collection by venipuncture and dermal punctures accurately and safely. Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure patient wellbeing and sterile conditions. Label and track samples accurately for laboratory testing. Provide clear instructions to patients and manage any adverse reactions during blood draw procedures. Maintain patient confidentiality and compassionate interaction. Stay abreast of advancements and changes in phlebotomy best practices. Assist in organizing and stocking supplies and maintaining equipment. Proficient in various types of blood collection techniques. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Detail-oriented with an ability to handle biological specimens. Ability to maintain accurate patient records. Competency in handling stressful situations with calmness and professionalism.
