Job Description:
Description: The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for leading
and managing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex
projects within defined timelines and budgets. Ensure adherence to
project management vest practices and methodologies, leading by
example, role modeling APX Construction Group's vision, mission,
values, and culture of safety.Position Summary: The primary job of
the Senior Project Manager is to lead the project team in
overseeing a wide variety of commercial construction projects from
beginning to end. Provide overall leadership direction to the
project, including management of project quality, timeliness,
safety, and supervision of the project team.Essential Duties:
- Lead the project team in project startup tasks, including, but
not limited to;
- Pre-construction design development, budgeting and
estimating.
- Assist the estimating team in attending pre-bid meetings,
performing quantity take-offs, soliciting subcontractor proposals,
and submitting bids to clients.
- Permit submission and approval
- Execute and manage subcontract agreements Plans.
- manages project budgets and schedules, making necessary
adjustments.
- Create, distribute, & collect submittals for project manager
review.
- Assisting in Creation and Maintaining Overall Project
Schedules.
- Assisting in trade partner coordination & scheduling.
- Lead the project team in project delivery tasks as assigned,
including, but not limited to;
- Functioning as the main point of contact with the owner and
on-site representative
- Ensuring trade partners and APX project teams are following the
APX safety Requirements.
- Documenting meeting minutes at subcontractor or owner meetings.
Distributing Minutes after Completion of meeting.
- Create, distribute, & review RFI's.
- Project Documentation - updating and distributing construction
drawings and specifications.
- Completing concrete, in-wall, & above ceiling inspections prior
to city inspections.
- Prepare reports regarding job status.
- Creating and maintaining project look ahead schedules.
- Maintain city inspection records.
- Conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality
standards.
- Conducts key customer service visits throughout the project,
from pre- construction meetings to close-out, ensuring project
commitments are met and issues are resolved.
- Lead the project team in project closeout tasks.
- Lead the project team in financial management of the projects,
including, but not limited to;
- Conduct quantity take off's to accurately measure subcontractor
proposals
- Complete project projections, margin plans, & change order
management.
- Review and approve subcontractor payment applications.
- Review and approve material supplier invoices.
- Complete monthly owner payment applications Based upon skill
level The senior project manager is expected to lead multiple
projects totaling approximately $20+ million in owner contract
value at a given time and manage assigned project teams.Essential

- Develop project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables,
resources, and timelines.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget without
compromising on quality in collaboration with project team to meet
production goals, project deadlines and customer needs.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure effective
collaboration and communication throughout the project
lifecycle.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status,
including milestones achieved, risks identified, and mitigation

- Project ManagementIRequirements:Knowledge, Skills, and
Experience Requirements:
- 4-year degree from accredited college / university in
Construction Management, Business Administration, Project
Management, or another related field
- 8+ years of Project Management experience, with at least 3
years in commercial construction in a high-growth environment
- Certified in OSHA 10 or 30 preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial construction industry methods,
practices, materials, and tools involved in construction.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal & written with
the ability to present complex information in a clear & concise
manner.
- Strong working knowledge of project management principles,
methodologies, and tools.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple
projects with a 4-5 level complexity simultaneously.
- Must be flexible, innovative and an excellent collaborative
driver focused on ensuring positive working relationships with
subcontractors, vendors and APX team members to meet/exceed the
needs of the business.
- Ability to manage change, solve problems and work in ever
changing situations with a professional understanding of urgency
and effective adaptability skills resulting in effective production
and quality on all projects.

and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Demonstrated computer and technology proficiency, ability to
learn, navigate and utilize various platforms.
- Valid Driver's LicensePhysical Demands:
- Must be able to work in various conditions from office, field,
client locations and job sites
- Must be able to work with various office equipment in various
environments
- Must wear required PPE at all times and follow all safety
requirements while on job sites
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk for extended
periods of time and distance
- Must be able to work and communicate in various conditions
including outdoors in various conditions and on jobsites as needed,
effectively engaging with a variety and levels of employeesMental
