Overview:Are you a new or skilled Pharmacy Technician?We at M
Health Fairview are looking for you to join an excellent team over
at the University Medical Center retail team!The successful
candidate will assist the Site Manager/Pharmacist-In-Charge with
tasks in the pharmacy. Respond to and resolve insurance questions,
process prescriptions, and address issues quickly and thoroughly.
Provide and promote outstanding customer service, assist in
preparing and dispensing medication and supplies, enter new and
refill prescriptions to the system, work with physician offices to
acquire refill requests, handle cash transactions, receive patient
prescriptions, unpack/verify stock-to-invoices and help maintain
the pharmacy in accurate order.This is a full time, benefit
eligible role!This position is also eligible for a $5000 sign on
bonus!Responsibilities/Job Description:Job Expectations:Receive
prescriptions from patients and capture appropriate information per
department policy. Assist in the preparation and dispensing of
medications and supplies as assigned, including counting, pouring
and labeling prescriptions.Verify insurance and resolve issues in a
manner that will serve the customers needs. Address third party
prescription questions, which may include prior authorizations,
vacation supplies, dose changes, price check and drug utilization
review.Process prescriptions in the system quickly and accurately;
including entering refill authorization requests, and entering and
calculating sophisticated prescriptions such as compounds and
injectables.Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the computer
system. Utilize the reporting system as vital. Process manual
prescriptions including EZ-DME, breast pumps and Workers
Compensation, in an efficient and accurate manner.Complete special
orders to meet customers needs.Respond to internal and external
customer questions and concerns in a professional and
customer-focused manner.Handle cash register transactions quickly
and thoroughly.Perform administrative duties as assigned by the
manager.Duties may include scheduling, maintaining pharmacy
software and automation systems, bookkeeping activities, on site
training of staff and acting as a primary resource for
decision-making.Under pharmacist supervision, assist with
identifying and resolving patient specific medication related
issues in the patients best interest.Deliver training to new and
current staff on areas of expertise including computer/software,
insurance plans and problems that may occur, customer service, and
other processes.Under the direction of the pharmacist, prepare drug
therapy for patients in an accurate and timely fashion in
accordance with all legal requirements, regulatory agencies and
Fairview Policy.Deliver medications, supplies and equipment to
patient care areas and other clinical areas as appropriate.Ensure
the pharmacy is clean and well-stocked every day.Ensure each
product has a POS shelf labelAssist in inventory control
functionsRecord invoices in department inventory control/invoice
recordsMaintain stock of inventory in assigned areasReceive,
unpack, and check incoming stock against invoices and place into
inventoryProcess recalls and returns when vitalHelp in the
maintenance of pharmacy billing recordsQualifications:Minimum
EducationHigh school diploma/GED.Preferred EducationGraduate of an
approved pharmacy technician programMinimum
License/Certification/RegistrationActive technician registration
with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy.Preferred ExperienceOne to
three years retail and/or pharmacy experienceAdditional
Requirements:Excellent customer service skills, proficient in the
English language, good attention to detail, ability to problem
solve effectively, ability to follow policies and procedures, basic
math skills, basic typing skills and excellent social skills.We are
