Job Description:

Leads the architecture, design, development, and coordination of Java

and web-oriented technologies for software development projects.

Provides technical and project management support to project team

members. Coordinates with internal technical support and external

customers to provide technical solutions to customer issues. Mentors

project team members and ensures their work is consistent with design

approach and overall application architecture. Interacts with product

owners to review and refine requirements, identify gaps, and create

implementation approaches and design notes to aid with project

estimation and planning. Maintains “best practices” and technologies

relating to software development and project management. Models,

benchmarks, and simulates computer systems, and develops performance

characteristics for applications. Implements new and adjusts existing

application features and prepares well-documented and performing source

code documentation that meets organizational standards.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering,

Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or related field (willing to

accept foreign education equivalent) plus 5 years of experience in web-

based Java application development. Or in the alternative, a Master's

degree and 3 years of experience as stated above. Also requires: 1)

Demonstrated expertise leveraging Web Services and RESTful Web

architecture techniques to design, develop, and implement enterprise

application software; 2) Demonstrated expertise designing and developing

n-tiered Web-based MVC applications by leveraging three or more of the

following: JavaScript, JSP, AJAX, XML and ANT; 3) Demonstrated expertise

writing automated tests, including unit tests and Selenium tests, in a

Continuous Integration environment; and, 4) Demonstrated experience

leveraging Agile/Scrum methodologies to run SQL queries and tools, and

determine functional requirements.
